Top 10 Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta seeds you have to try

What are the best seeds for Minecraft?

Minecraft seeds allow you to create a pre-determined world to build in. Seeds are useful if you want to initially spawn near a village, dungeon, or other structure, or if you want to test your luck alone on a deserted island. Whatever your fancy, here are the best Minecraft seeds you have to try!

Note: These seeds are confirmed working in Infinite mode with version 0.15.9

Stronghold hidden beneath a village

Stronghold hidden beneath a village

This seed spawns you in a village located between a desert biome and a plains biome. The village contains a blacksmith with a chest full of loot and plenty of crops for a decent amount of food.

When you've prepared yourself for battle, jump into the stone well in the center of the village and mine the cobblestone at the bottom. You will eventually drop into a stronghold full of enemies and a lot of treasure waiting for you to take.

Acacia-wood village with a plateau overlook

Acacia-wood village with a plateau overlook

Spawn beside a beautiful acacia-wood village that has a river running through it and a high cliff behind it. This plateau has a few trees on it and it perfectly flat — this is a great spot to build your palace as the lord of this town.

There is a small bay next to the town if you have pirate/naval ambitions, and the town even has a blacksmith in it with a chest full of stuff.

Desert village with a temple

Desert village with a temple

Want to immediately get your hands on some valuable treasure? This seed spawns you in front of a desert temple that holds four chests in its secret room. Around the temple is a lovely little desert village complete with a blacksmith and chest full of gold ingots and an iron sword.

There is a forest biome nearby for plenty of wood, and plenty of sugar cane if you want to make some maps before setting out on the open sea.

Three villages in one

Three villages in one

Those of you who love to take control of a village will love this seed. Three acacia-wood villages combine to make a small town, complete with two blacksmiths and their chests full of loot. There are plenty of crops for sustenance, and the hills nearby have lava waterfalls if you want to make some obsidian.

A few meandering rivers break up the landscape and biomes — venture out into the desert, into the mountains, or into the plains.

Enormous jungle biome with temple and village

Enormous jungle biome with temples and village

Anyone capable of a good Tarzan impression has to check out this seed. It drops you in the middle of an enormous jungle biome home to a temple, plenty of caves, and some tall trees to build your house in. If you manage to find the edge of the jungle that abuts a swamp biome, you'll find an acacia-wood village embedded into the side of a cliff.

There are also plenty of rivers and mountains for anyone who wants to build swinging bridges back and forth between their jungle hideout.

Archipelago

Archipelago

Many Minecraft players love the challenge of spawning on an island and attempting to make a life. The island you spawn on doesn't have any wood but does have a pig and a cow.

Luckily there are plenty of islands nearby with plenty of wood (if you're up for a swim), and you can transport some livestock in a boat to allow for mating. This is an ultimate challenge — how long will you survive?

Seed: island pls

Island with a village

Island with a village

If you love the idea of a survival island but don't particularly enjoy living alone, this island has a sizeable village on it. There are no trees on the island, but the villagers won't mind if you steal a bit of wood from their buildings for your purposes.

There are plenty of crops available for harvest, and a decent amount of animals if you'd like to start breeding livestock. There is an island nearby complete with trees, but you'll have to swim or sail!

Three desert temples

Three desert temples

This seed spawns you in the water on the banks of a forest biome. Once you're out of the water facing the forest, head to the left and you will find a desert biome with three desert temples within view.

Take your time gathering some resources before heading in, as you will be faced with a few challenges. This is a great seed if you want to get off to a quick start thanks to a total of 12 chests waiting nearby.

Mesa biome with desert temple

Mesa biome with desert temple

The rare mesa biome is quite a sight. Towering, multi-colored spires reach for the sky and surrounding you are mountains, a swamp, and plenty of rivers.

When you spawn, if you head to the right, you will notice a large flat area with red clay. Across that expanse is a half-buried desert temple with four chests in the bottom.

Abandoned mineshaft and enormous cavern

Abandoned mineshaft and enormous cavern

When you spawn, build a marker beneath you so that you remember where you are. Collect your initial resources needed to survive a night, then craft some weapons and torches to help you underground. When you're ready, dig straight down at the block you spawned on. This isn't generally good practice, but as long as you're on the spawn block, you won't run into any nasty surprises.

It's quite far down, but you'll eventually drop down into a mineshaft full of rails, torches, exposed ore, and maybe even some treasure. There is an enormous cave system complete with underground rivers and waterfalls, so be sure to set up a bit of a base camp before spelunking.
