If you've been having connection issues with Monster Hunter: World, a fix is now available.
Monster Hunter: World has received quite a bit of praise since its launch for its stunning open world and gameplay hooks, but Xbox One players have hit with some notable issues. Most prominently, the Xbox One version of Monster Hunter: World was impacted by some nasty matchmaking issues that prevented gamers from playing with one another. If you've been impacted by these problems, however, a fix is now available.
Capcom is rolling out a small update to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, bringing a handful of fixes. For Xbox One users specifically, however, Capcom claims the patch fixes all matchmaking issues. Here's a look at the full release notes:
- Fixed all matchmaking functionality issues for Xbox One players, including "Matchmake", "Filter Search", "Squad Sessions Session" and "Respond to SOS".
- Fixed a rare issue with gathering points and bounties not working correctly; points counter were not updating correctly.
- Fixed two issues with the Hunting Horn:
- Players would sometimes be unable to dodge-cancel while playing an Encore;
- The initial shockwave blast when playing a song sometimes wouldn't happen.
If the fixes work as intended, the patch should be good news for players wanting to group up with their friends while on the hunt. Here's to hoping the game's performance issues are tackled next.
