One of the many complaints Xbox One owners have is that there aren't many Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs) on the system.
So, whenever a new JRPG is announced for Xbox One, it's somewhat of a momentous occasion. Legrand Legacy is a nostalgic love letter to classic JRPGs from publisher Another Indie and developer SemiSoft. The game will arrive on Xbox One in Q1 2019 and tell a surprisingly touching tale. Before that though, Legrand Legacy is coming to Windows PC on January 24, 2018 for $24.99.
After being freed from slavery, former gladiator Finn embarks on a journey to save his emancipator's daughter, which leads him to a prophecy and a more important quest. Finn must protect the world from the second coming of a conflict that nearly annihilated the planet long ago.
Despite the looming darkness, Legrand is a thriving realm depicted in an art style delicately balancing Eastern and Western oil paintings. As Finn explores the beautiful world of Legrand, he will learn the backstories of allies, uncover side quests, go fishing, and engage in fencing competitions in addition to intense hack-and-slash battles.
Exploiting enemies' weaknesses and unleashing powerful attacks is the key to success. You must craft weapons and unlock new magic abilities as the enemies become fiercer. By recruiting certain citizens of Legrand to join his party, Finn can upgrade his headquarters, Dumville Castle. As his party expands, Finn gains the services of blacksmiths, shopkeepers, and others that aid his journey.
