Hitman: Game of the Year Edition was recently announced for a November 7, 2017 release date.
It's the same day as the Xbox One X launches and brings with it a lot of enhancements. However, instead of releasing a trailer which showcased the Xbox One X improvements, Square Enix just released the Game of the Year Edition trailer with standard footage. Luckily, Microsoft heard fans loud and clear and today posted another trailer showcasing the upgraded visuals.
Hitman on Xbox One X includes a native 4K resolution mode called "High Detail." This substantially upgrades the visuals and they look crisp. Aside from that, there's a "High Frame Rate" mode which features 60 FPS gameplay. There's also HDR support for certain displays.
That's not all though, there are other enhancements like better textures, better filtering, and enhanced shadows. If you look at the trailer, you can see the increased detail and upgrades to lighting. It would be great if Microsoft posted a comparison video for such games to give gamers a clearer understanding of the changes.
