A lot of games are getting upgrades this week and the latest one to join the list is NBA 2K18.

NBA 2K18 is a basketball simulator developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. The franchise has been going on for many years and this game is the nineteenth installment in the NBA 2K series. Just like other high-profile titles, 2K Sports announced an Xbox One X upgrade many months ago but gamers didn't know when it would launch. It was unclear if it would be available before Microsoft's new console launch on November 7, 2017.

Luckily, we have an answer. It looks like the Xbox One X patch should go live soon as Patch 1.05 is already available on PlayStation 4. Aside from bug fixes and other improvements, the Xbox One update will allow for the game to run at native 4K resolution at 60 FPS on Xbox One X.

The Xbox One X is the most powerful console ever made. The device features 6 TFLOPS of processing power and 12 GB of GDDR5 RAM. In addition to that, the Xbox One X also contains a 4K Blu-ray player and offers a faster hard drive.

The list of Xbox One X games that run at native 4K keeps on growing with this latest addition. However, it's still rare to find a "AAA" game that runs at native 4K and 60 FPS. Hopefully the list will continue to grow in the coming months as developers get familiar with the new console. If you haven't played NBA 2K18, be sure to check it out at retailers.
