Microsoft's free-to-play mobile strategy game Age of Empires: Castle Siege has been updated again for its Windows platforms to version 1.13. The biggest new feature is the ability for Alliances to construct Wonders for the first time.
Here's how Microsoft describes the new Wonders addition, which becomes active when each member of an Alliance builds an embassy in their castle:
"Our new feature, Wonders, are long term construction efforts. Alliance members will need to work together to build these. Once a Wonder is built it will give access to in-game advantages. Each alliance can only work on one Wonder at a time as decided by the alliance emperor."
"In order to build a Wonder, alliance members must complete group tasks. Alliance members can contribute to these tasks in different ways. For example, if an alliance member is saving resources to fortify their own keep, they can win attacks instead of donating resources to help complete the task."
"Players who join an alliance that already has finished wonders, can receive the wonder benefits as long as they have the appropriately upgraded embassy. This is regardless of whether or not they contributed to construction. In turn, players who leave the alliance lose the benefits of the Wonders until they join an alliance with that wonder already constructed. They can help contribute to the same wonder they may have already helped build in a new alliance."
There are also a number of other new smaller additions and bug fixes in this new version. What do you think of the new Wonders addition? Let us know in the comments.
