Assassins Creed Unity

Ubisoft is trying to make up for the bug-filled release of Assassin's Creed Unity earlier this month for the Xbox One and other platforms, with either a free game or a free DLC pack, while also apologizing to its players.

Some of the issues that have been reported since Assassin's Creed Unity was released include poor frame rates and character models that were missing their faces. Yannis Mallat, the CEO of Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto, posted a message on the game's official website today, stating:

"I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential."

Three patches have been released for the game since it went on sale and Mallat stated that more updates are in the works and asked players to keep submitting their feedback. He added:

"To show our appreciation for your continued support, we're making the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. For Season Pass holders, we will also offer the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free."

Do these freebie offers make up for Ubisoft launching a bug-ridden game?
