Microsoft will live stream HaloFest, their launch celebration for the Xbox One game Halo: The Master Chief Collection and as part of the festivities, the company will show the first official gameplay from the upcoming multplayer test for Halo 5: Guardians.
HaloFest itself is being held at the Avalon Theatre in Los Angeles at 11 pm Eastern time (8 pm Pacific). Sadly, the location won't be open to members of the general public who happen to be in the neighborhood. However, the live stream can be viewed by anyone via Xbox Live on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, along with Xbox.com and the Twitch.tv network. While videos that apparently showed leaked footage from Halo 5's multiplayer hit the Internet this weekend, this will be the first official look at the beta test content. It will officially begin on December 29 for owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which officially goes on sale Tuesday.
HaloFest will also feature interviews with members of 343 Industries, the first episode of the live action digital feature Halo: Nightfall and highlights of this weekend's Halo: The Master Chief Collection Launch Invitational tournament. Windows Central will be there in person to bring you our impressions!
Will you be watching HaloFest tonight?
