It's a game that was first promised way back in 2008 and today publisher Bethesda Softworks finally released a teaser trailer for DOOM, the highly anticipated reboot of the long running sci-fi first person shooter franchise.
The trailer itself has all the hallmarks of previous DOOM games; it's dark, it's got brooding music, and it shows glimpses of biomechanical creatures before the full, if brief, reveal of this game's version of the Cyberdemon, the first boss from the original DOOM game, first released in 1993.
Developer id Software is once again in charge of making the new DOOM and Bethesda is promising a bigger reveal of the game in mid-July during QuakeCon 2014. That's the free LAN party that's held every year by id in Dallas, Texas. There's no release date for the new game but people who buy Wolfenstein: The New Order (out now for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PS3 and PS4) will be invited to play in the beta test of DOOM when it is launched.
