Every week, numerous games launch on Xbox One, but which ones truly stand out? Here are some of the biggest and most anticipated titles launching across Microsoft's platforms next week.
Next week we only have one new "AAA" release on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is finally launching on the console, and Owlboy transports you to a world filled with pirate-slaying goodness. With that in mind, here are all the biggest games launching next week, between April 9 and April 13, 2018.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a third-person action game from the makers of DMC: Devil May Cry, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and Heavenly Sword. Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover. According to the developer, the title was created in collaboration with neuroscientists and people who experience psychosis.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice should launch on April 11, priced at $29.99. The game achieves native 4K resolution on Xbox One X. Those who preorder can purchase the game for $26.99.
Owlboy
Owlboy is an adventure game where players can fly and explore a new world in the clouds. Players need to overcome obstacles and enemies in detailed environments filled with secrets. The main character Otus can't speak, so he struggles living up to the expectations of owl-hood. Events spiral out of control with the sudden appearance of sky pirates. Otus then embarks on a journey through monster-infested ruins and treacherous forests to prove himself.
Owlboy should launch on April 10.
Masters of Anima
Masters of Anima is an adventure game that takes you deep into the magical world of Spark. Players battle against the forces of evil in strategic, action-packed battles, where making tactical decisions quickly is vital. Summon and control large armies of up to a hundred Guardians to destroy the forces of darkness.
Masters of Anima should launch on April 10, priced at 19.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.
Ys Origin
Ys Origin is a cult classic Japanese role-playing game. The title was previously only available on PC, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4, so this is the first time the franchise is coming to an Xbox platform. Ys Origin on Xbox One features exclusive content like an all-new speedrun mode and a "blood option" which lets players choose the level of gore.
Ys Origin should launch on April 11.
Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs
Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs is a tactical role-playing game about the restoration of a fallen kingdom to its former glory. Players embark on an adventure as they assemble a party of valiant individuals, manage realms, forge alliances, and vanquish foes in challenging turn-based combat. The Royal Edition available on Xbox One includes additional in-game content and "The Unending Grimoire" expansion.
Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs should launch on April 13, priced at $24.99.
Extinction
Extinction is an Attack on Titan-like game. Players take on the role of Avil, who is the last of the legendary "Sentinels". The Sentinels are the only warriors capable of toppling giants known as "Ravenii". Unfortunately, there are a lot of Ravenii and Avil is all that stands between the towering ogres and the survival of the human race.
Extinction should launch on April 10, starting at $59.99.

Deep Ones
Deep Ones is a retro platformer with multigenre parts, inspired by the ZX Spectrum and works of H. P. Lovecraft. The main character suffers a crash on his submarine due to a giant red octopus. However, instead of simply running away, he walks along the bottom of the ocean, shooting enemies, trying to get the submarine back under his command.
Deep Ones should launch on April 11, priced at $4.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.
Bombslinger
The Bombslinger is a ruthless bandit turned peaceful rancher on a quest to avenge the murder of his wife and destruction of his ranch at the hands of his former posse. Players bomb their way through hordes of enemies and master "bomb-slinging" gameplay in a single-player adventure with procedurally-generated levels. However, if you want a break from the adventure, you can always take the fight to your friends in hectic four-player matches.
Bombslinger should launch on April 11, priced at $11.99.
Other experiences like Earthlock: Should Have Been Edition should also release next week.
