Every week, numerous games launch on Xbox One, but which ones truly stand out? Here are some of the biggest and most anticipated titles launching across Microsoft's platforms next week.
Next week we have no new "AAA" releases on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Tera is finally launching as a free-to-play game, and Dangun Feveron transports you to a world filled with shoot 'em up goodness. With that in mind, here are all the biggest games launching next week, between April 2 and April 6, 2018.
Tera
Tera is a massively multiplayer online game now designed for consoles. The game combines social role-playing elements with fast-paced precision combat mechanics. Tera is quite popular on PC and many fans have been eagerly awaiting its console debut. The game on consoles features a streamlined interface, intelligent button mapping, and new gameplay systems. Combat revolves around combos and caters to various playstyles and customization options. You can play alone or take the fight up with friends. Choosing which strategy you adopt influences the skills you choose.
Tera should launch on April 3 as a free-to-play experience. Those who wish to play the game early can purchase the Tera: Founder's Pack for $29.99 right now.
The Adventure Pals
The Adventure Pals is a side-scrolling adventure platformer about friendship and exploration, featuring role-playing elements and two-player local co-op. Hop on the back of your giraffe, Sparkles, and discover over a hundred levels across five whimsical worlds filled with unique quests and characters, including zombie pirate cats, post-apocalyptic dinosaurs, and hot dogs that defecate explosive mines. Help a whale regain confidence, take a side in the battle between toast and dinosaur, travel to a legendary sunken city, decide the fate of a pirate election, and much more. The title is quite bonkers to say the least.
The Adventure Pals should launch on April 3, priced at $14.99.
Dangun Feveron
In 1998, shoot 'em up Dangun Feveron, also known as "Fever SOS", blasted into Japanese arcades. After all these years, it's coming to Xbox One. Get in the groove with Dangun Feveron's old-school style of refreshing and simple vertical scrolling gameplay. The game features original modes that put a new twist on combat, remixed background music, and powered-up gadgets to help you become a master.
Dangun Feveron should launch on April 4, priced at $34.99.
Minit
Minit is a peculiar little adventure played sixty seconds at a time. Players journey outside the comfort of your home to help unusual folk, uncover countless secrets, and overcome dangerous foes, all in hopes of lifting a rather unfortunate curse that ends each day after just one minute.
Minit should launch on April 3, priced at $9.99.
Metropolis: Lux Obscura
Metropolis Lux Obscura is a unique game with a film noir atmosphere and dangerous secrets. Gameplay is based on a motion comic with a non-linear plot mixed with matching puzzle fights. The game features adult themes so keep that in mind before purchasing.
Metropolis: Lux Obscura should launch on April 4, priced at $7.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.
Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare
Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare is a poplar mobile game making its way to Xbox One. Players must resist the undead in this new tactical survival game. Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare is the sequel to "Dead Ahead! Slaughter", which is regarded as one of the more entertaining survival games of recent times. The goal is to kill raid after raid of zombies, collect supplies, look for survivors, and most importantly, create your own legacy.
Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare should launch on April 6, priced at $19.99.
Other experiences like Enigmatis 3: The Shadow of Karkhala and Raiders of the Broken Planet: Hades Betrayal should also release next week.
