Tera is launching on consoles soon after recently getting a beta.
Today, En Masse Entertainment announced that Tera, a massively multiplayer online game (MMO) designed for consoles, will launch for free on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 3, 2018. The game combines social role-playing elements with fact-paced precision combat mechanics. Tera is quite popular on PC and many fans have been eagerly awaiting its console debut.
Gamers who can't wait for April 3 can purchase Tera Founder's Packs beginning on March 27 for $29.99. Founder's Packs include a week of early access, also beginning March 27, and grant a variety of compelling in-game items.
Tera on consoles features a streamlined interface, intelligent button mapping, and new gameplay systems. Combat revolves around combos and caters to various playstyles and customization options. You can play alone or take the fight up with friends. Choosing which strategy you adopt influences the way you play.
Matt Denomme, the Senior Product Manager at En Masse Entertainment, issued the following statement alongside the release date's reveal.
There is a lot of excitement in gaming to finally see the action combat Tera is so famous for realized on console. We had an amazing reception to our Open Beta test from Tera veterans and newcomers. We are pumped to finally bring the deep, challenging, definitive MMO experience gamers have been waiting for to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Tera's beta was a good experience so hopefully the developer has improved on the experience since then.
