Every week, numerous games launch on Xbox One, but which ones truly stand out? Here are some of the biggest and most anticipated titles launching across Microsoft's platforms this week.
This week we have one new "AAA" release on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Far Cry 5 is finally launching after numerous delays, and PixARK transports you to a world filled with dinosaur-taming goodness. With that in mind, here are all the biggest games launching this week, between March 26 and March 30, 2018.
Far Cry 5
Far Cry 5 is set in America, which is a first for the franchise. The game offers players complete freedom to navigate a serene but deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of Hope County, Montana. The new junior deputy finds that their arrival accelerates a silent coup by a fanatical cult. The Project at Eden's Gate wants a violent takeover. With the outside world cutting ties to the region, it's up to you to join forces with normal individuals, form a resistance, and take back the land.

PixARK
If Ark: Survival Evolved were to have a child with Minecraft, then PixARK would be the end result. Just like Ark: Survival Evolved, PixARK leaves a group of players stranded on a mysterious island. As expected, to survive, they must hunt, harvest, craft items, grow crops, and build shelters to protect themselves from dinosaurs, natural disasters, and hostile human players. The developer claims that interactions with other players can be cooperative but it's probably safer to assume that they won't be.
PixARK should launch on March 27 in Xbox Game Preview. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.
Alteric
Alteric is a single-player platformer with minimalistic visuals but complex gameplay. The mechanics feature hardcore physics, gravity and logic puzzles in two interconnected parallel dimensions. Better yet, it also has a number of bosses! Usually such platformers lack depth, but Alteric seems to be an exception.
Alteric should launch on March 30, priced at $4.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.
Other experiences like Injustice 2: Legendary Edition, Space Hulk: Ascension, Trove: Heroes, and X-Morph: Defense – European Assault should also release this week.
These are the biggest games launching soon, and many of them seem like absolutely thrilling experiences. Be sure to check out Far Cry 5 and PixARK because they appear to be the most unique games out of the lot. Which titles are you interested in? Let us know.
