Far: Lone Sails should launch on PC before you know it.
Far: Lone Sails is a vehicle-based adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players traverse a dried-out seabed littered with the remains of a dying civilization. To keep their unique vessels going, players must overcome numerous obstacles and withstand the hazardous weather conditions, never knowing how far they will be able to make it or what they will find. The experience focuses on exploration despite the peril.
While exploring the desolate world, players are required to follow trails and find relics or buildings. The items are supposed to tell a story of a civilization on the run. Instead of incorporating zombies or some other cliché in the game, the studio decided to immerse players in an "alone" setting. Throughout the game, your greatest enemies aren't other begins, but the vast and empty landscapes. Gameplay mostly consists of vehicle management and environmental puzzles. You can't simply stroll through the world expecting to reach the end.
Today, the developer announced that Far: Lone Sails will be available on PC from May 17, 2018. The game is quite popular even before release, so many gamers will be delighted to hear the news. The title is also being ported over to Xbox One, but the status of that project wasn't shared at this time.
If you love games like Inside and Limbo, be sure to give Far: Lone Sails a go. Hopefully it'll be a polished experience when it launches in May. After that, let's hope that it makes its way over to Xbox One soon!
