It's finally coming to other platforms after all these months.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive many months ago, and since then gamers on other platforms have been asking Activision to bring the title to Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Luckily, it seems like the timed exclusivity period was only for a year because today the company announced that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was coming to Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on July 10, 2018.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a collection of three famous games which are regarded as some of the best platformers ever created. Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped are all part of the package. Players can relive all their favorite moments in fully-remastered graphical glory.
Crash Bandicoot
Dr. Neo Cortex has a plan to take over the world, and he wants to create genetically engineered animals to do his bidding. To create his minions, Cortex kidnaps as many animals as he can. Unfortunately, Crash Bandicoot's girlfriend just happens to be one of his victims. Players take control of Crash as he runs, jumps and spins through thirty levels of intense action on three different Australian islands. Only you can help Crash save the animals, his girlfriend, and foil Dr. Cortex's plan.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
The evil Dr. Neo Cortex is back but this time he's asking for help from his arch nemesis Crash Bandicoot. Is this just a conniving plan to lure Crash into Cortex's next dastardly experiment? Can Crash win again or will he join Cortex's mindless zoo? Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back features larger environments, new animations, and a whole lot of colorful characters. One of the biggest additions in this game were the jet packs that let Crash navigate zero-gravity levels.
Crash Bandicoot Warped
Unlike the previous games, Crash Bandicoot Warped is a time-traveling adventure. It features new gameplay like scuba diving, riding a motorcycle, and even going airborne in a plane. You can also play as fan-favorite character Coco! You can gallop along the Great Wall of China on a tiger or go extreme on a ski. Players must prove their skills with new abilities like the "Body Slam", "Super Slide", and "Death-Tornado Spin". Lastly, all new enemies include bosses like Dingodile and of course, the return of some favorites like Tiny.
You can preorder Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for Xbox One on Amazon right now. Hopefully the next game Activision decides to remaster, like Spyro the Dragon, will be available on all platforms to begin with.
