Gwent's new draft-based mode gives players what they wanted all along.

Today, Gwent received a new game mode called Gwent Arena. Gwent Arena enables players to build decks with no restrictions on rarity or duplications. There's a new challenger in town, so you have to use everything at your disposal to defeat the infamous Man of Glass Gaunter O'Dimm.

Taking part in a Gwent Arena run costs 150 ore. Ore can be purchased with actual currency, so it comes out to only a few dollars. The run is quite challenging and ends if you die three times. Apart from that, you have to complete nine successful contracts to end it properly. Each run guarantees some rewards, but if you play more skillfully, you'll end up getting better cards.

Fans have been asking for a Gwent Arena-like mode for months now, so it's great to see the developer listening to feedback. Hopefully it will be everything fans hoped for.

Gwent is a free-to-play card game found in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It gives you and your opponent a set of cards which simulate battles. You must use certain warriors at the right time to win. Recently, the title received the Midwinter Update which adds more than a hundred cards to the game, many of which have new abilities and gameplay mechanics sure to shake things up on the battlefield. The update also introduced the story-driven Midwinter Hunt.
