Now you can jump into the battle royale action right away.
Microsoft has no shortage of Xbox One S bundles available, and it's about to add another to the mix with one of the most popular games of the last year. A new PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) console bundle will be available starting February 20, Microsoft has announced. Similar to other bundles, this one comes in at $299.99 and is up for preorder now.
For your money, the bundle includes an Xbox One S with a 1TB hard drive, an Xbox Wireless Controller, and a download code for PUBG. The usual complement of freebies is on board as well, including a one-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass and 14 free days of Xbox Live Gold.
PUBG initially made its debut on PC in early 2017 before catching fire and drawing in millions of players with its battle royale-style gameplay. The game later launched as a console exclusive on Xbox One in December as part of Microsoft's Game Preview program and, despite its early sate, has pulled in millions more players in the weeks since its console launch.
How (and why) Battle Royale games like PUBG took the world by storm
The decision to bundle an early access game with a console is likely to draw criticism from some, even as the experience continues to be polished ahead of its "official" release. However, if you're eager to jump into the Xbox ecosystem to tackle PUBG on a console, the bundle is a solid way to get started.
