Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition is now up for preorder ahead of its March 6 release, with special bonuses depending on where you buy it.
PC gamers have been waiting a while to get their hands on Final Fantasy XV, but the game's March 6 launch date is now right around the corner. Ahead of the launch, Square Enix has opened up preorders, while announcing various preorder bonuses and the release of a benchmarking tool to make sure your PC is up to the task of running the game.
Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition is officially available to order from three different storefronts: Steam, Origin, and the Microsoft Store. And, as has been common practice with game preorders lately, you can get a different preorder bonus depending on where you choose to buy it. Here's a look at what's up for grabs.
- Microsoft Store - "FFXV Powerup Pack," which includes 10 phoenix downs, 10 elixirs, and Dodanuki, a sleek sword that "reduces enemy defense with each slash."
- Steam - "FFXV Fashion Collection," which includes a collection of t-shirts featuring that faces of Noctis' comrades. Each includes a special buff to your stats.
- Origin - "FFXV Decal Selection," Which packs a number of different decals for the Regalia.
Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will include a number of enhancements to take advantage of the extra power available on PC. Support for both 4K and 8K resolutions, HDR10, and Dolby Atmos are part of that, but Square Enix says that a number of graphical boosts are tagging along as well. You can expext more life-like hair and shadows, along with more dynamic vegetation, fluid, fire and smoke. The Windows Edition also includes a new first-person camera mode, along with an expanded map, all current season pass content, and more.
Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition is currently scheduled to launch on March 6 and preorders are available now. If you'd like to see how your PC will handle the game, you can download the benchmarking tool for your region from Square Enix now.
