PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) has received a new Xbox One update, delivering tweaks to vehicle balancing.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is still going strong into 2018, following its Xbox Game Preview release late last year. It's developer, "PUBG Corp," continues to deliver frequent updates, with the Xbox One version now receiving its seventh update since release.
This latest patch focuses on balancing of vehicles – an aspect of the PUBG experience that's needed work for some time. With these new changes, vehicles are now much less viable on the battlefield, with increased incoming damage. Damage dealt when hitting enemies with vehicles has reduced too, although it remains to be seen how drastically this shakes up gameplay.
Other tweaks have been made to the Xbox One version, including improved input delays and changes to sight reticles. Bug fixes also address various issues surrounding combat, inventory management and other aspects of the game.
This latest is now available on Xbox One, following its launch at 4 a.m. ET (9 a.m. UK time) on January 30. Players must install a 3.5 GB update before starting the game, which can be downloaded over Xbox Live. For a full list of changes, check out the latest update changelog, as provided by Andro Dars, Community Manager for PUBG.

Optimization
- Continued optimization to controller input lag
- Visual quality of the reticle is improved for Xbox One (Red Dot, Holographic, and 2x Sight)
Bug fixes
- Resolved issue where inventory may highlight the wrong column when looting
- The sensitivity setting for 4x Scope is now also applied to the permanent scope on the VSS
- Auto-run (double-clicking the left stick) is disabled when aiming down sights
- Players can now use the D-Pad while in the map view without switching melee, pistol, or throwing weapons
- Removing the marker from the map when pressing (Y) will no longer switch primary/secondary weapons
- Fixed issue where the crosshair is not correctly displayed after players reconnect to a game session
