Electronic Arts has outlined its upcoming Battlefield 1 content, including the impending release of the "Apocalypse" DLC.

Following the passing of a new year, Electronic Arts has shared plans for its brutal First World War shooter, Battlefield 1. With a steady flow of post-launch content since its late 2016 release, preparations are being outlined for its fourth and final downloadable content (DLC) drop, mysteriously titled "Battlefield 1: Apocalypse."

While few details have been disclosed on what Apocalypse will offer, previous announcements have confirmed the new maps will be centered around infamous battles of WW1. Referencing the "nightmarish horrors of the Great War" as you "descend into hell," the expansion is shaping up to the game's most brutal yet. And today, the publisher has announced that a reveal for Apocalypse is "imminent," where more details on its exact contents can be expected.

Later this month, owners of Battlefield 1's Premium Pass are also on track to receive the second content drop of the Turning Tides DLC. Two new maps, "Zeebrugge" and "Heligoland Bight" will be released as a part of this, rounding off the third naval-focused expansion. And for those without the pass, Turning Tides' Gallipoli map will be available for free from January 16 and January 22, as a part of the "Gallipoli Trial."

Finally, rounding off the month, all owners of the base game will soon be gaining access to "Prise de Tahure"– the bonus map first included with the "They Shall Not Pass" expansion. This switchover will take place on January 16, joining its sister map, Nivelle Nights.
