Miramar is the second map hitting PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, with a desert theme.

While PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) remains one of the biggest successes in video games, one of its major flaws is an overall lack of content. The gameplay on offer is highly replayable, but with only a single map and game mode, more content is still to come before the final release.

After a string of teasers, the game's developer, Bluehole, has provided further details on PUBG's second map, now titled "Miramar." This expansive desert map shows a significant shift from the previous rural design of Erangel, with a blend of sandy plains, towering rock formations, and urban settlements.

As seen in the top-down map, at the heart of Miramar lays "Los Leones"– a large city center packed with high vantage points, construction sites and rare loot. Further west is "El Pozo," a town known for its industrial and entertainment districts, containing the "Luchador Arena," a death bowl and various textile factories. Despite the isolated feel of the locations, key landmarks and towns are promised across the map, similar to the first.

For a deeper dive into Miramar and its contents, make sure to read the full blog post on Steam. While an exact release date for the next map is yet to be provided, its arrival is expected relatively soon. The map is also expected to hit Xbox One at some time, while in Xbox Game Preview.
