It looks like 343 Industries has a new art director. Jeremy Cook, who worked on Halo Wars 2, is now an art director at the studio responsible for all the Halo games.
Cook updated his resume and information on various forms of social media which a user on ResetEra noticed. This is great news because Halo Wars 2 had a very distinct style which modernized the look of the units while also making sure they felt grounded in the universe. Halo Wars 2 gave us the gritty Banished faction, represented by a ragtag group of rebel aliens using retrofitted Covenant war gear. Cook's inclusion could bring some more similar styles to future Halo projects.
For example, we'll likely see Cook's work on the inevitable Halo 6 down the line. If you're curious about his style, be sure to check out his Art Station profile which features more images. However, if you want to get a true sense of it, be sure to check out Halo Wars 2 at retailers.
