Looking for a simple game for your Windows Phone to help you pass the time? Take a look at That Frog Game Free. It's a casual game that has plenty of bugs (not the glitchy kind) to keep you busy.
That Frog Game Free is a straight forward game where you play the role of a frog who must eat wayward flies and other flying bugs to survive. That Frog Game has two gaming modes, modest graphics and isn't a bad option for your Windows Phone gaming library.
That Frog Game has two gaming modes, Story and Survival. Story mode is basically a multi-level mode where you have a set number of points to earn and flies to eat. Survival mode is where you have to eat enough bugs to stay alive and avoid your health meter from bottoming out.
The game screen has your frog lives and flies to be eaten totals in the upper left, your points and multipliers (for consecutive flies eaten) in the upper right. Your health meter is in the bottom left corner and as long as you continue to consume bugs, you'll stay healthy.
Eating the bugs is simple. Tap on the scree where you want your frog to strike with its tongue. The challenge comes into play with trying to snatch a moving target and avoiding bees. Bees deduct points and reduces your health meter. On the plus side, if you eat a dragonfly you earn extra points and butterflies will gain you an extra life.
That Frog Game Free isn't a bad game, it just doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. Game play does get challenging as you move up the levels. The flies and bees become more numerous, requiring more precise tongue strikes.
While the game has a casual feel to it, That Frog Game does have a mild addictive quality. Still, I don't necessarily see myself playing That Frog Game Free for hours on end, but I do see it as a entertaining way to pass short bits of time with.
That Frog Game Free is a free, ad-supported game that you can find here in the Windows Phone Store. There is an ad-free version of That Frog Game that is currently running $.99 that you can find here in the Windows Phone Store.
