Rainbow Six Siege going free to play this weekend

Rainbow Six Siege is going free to play this weekend on all platforms.

It may be getting a little long in the tooth, but Rainbow Six Siege continues to see new content additions Just ahead of its next content drop, dubbed "Operation White Noise," Rainbow Six Siege is going free to play for the weekend to give Xbox One, PS4, and PC gamers who haven't tried it yet a chance to dive into the game.

During the free play weekend, all of the game's maps and modes will be available to play, so you'll be able to work towards unlocking the various operators that are available. As usual with these events, you'll also be able to carry over your progress from the free weekend to the full game if you decide to buy it afterward.

Speaking of which, Rainbow Six Siege will be on sale at a 50 percent discount for the duration of the free play event. That brings the base price down to $24.99 on Xbox One, which isn't too shabby for a two-year-old game that's still picking up new content. Keep in mind that Xbox One players will have to be subscribed to Xbox Live to take part.

Xbox gamers will be able to jump in from 11 p.m. PT on November 15 through 11 p.m. PT on November 19. PC gamers, on the other hand, will be able to play from 9 a.m. PT on November 16 through 12 p.m. PT on November 19. For more, check out our Rainbow Six Siege review.
