Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is getting even prettier for Xbox One X gamers with its latest update.
The first big update for Wolfenstein II; The New Colossus is here, and alongside new content and fixes, it adds specific support for Microsoft's latest console, Xbox One X. This comes a day before the November 7 launch of Xbox One X.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus plays to the strengths of the Xbox One X with support for 4K resolution. According to the update's release notes, the game also supports dynamic resolution scaling, allowing it to dip below 4K when necessary to keep framerates high.
Aside from Xbox One X support, the update packs in 10 new combat simulations available from the main menu, along with an accompanying leaderboard to compete against friends. There are also a number of fixes for those playing on PC, including several fixes focused on improving stability with NVIDIA GPUs.
Wolfenstein II is one of several Bethesda games planned to receive Xbox One X support. The Evil Within 2, another recently released Bethesda title, is also receiving a special update to take advantage of the console's extra horsepower. DOOM, Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, and more are all set to get some form of an update as well.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Bethesda's follow-up to 2014's "The New Order," which explores an alternate history wherein the Nazis won World War II. The game launched in late October and has since garnered quite a bit of praise. We found it to be an excellent extension of the Wolfenstein story in our review.
