When Outcast: Second Contact was announced, fans of the original rejoiced because it was the first time they could experience it on modern consoles, with modern visuals, since 1999.

The original PC game is regarded as a cult classic because it introduced a lot of innovations like an open world, which beat Grand Theft Auto 3 by a few years. Back then gamers hadn't experienced anything like it and many were blown away by the imaginative setting and living environments.

The game has been delayed a few times as it was originally scheduled to launch in September. Since then we haven't heard much, but publisher Bigben and developer Appeal have now announced that Outcast: Second Contact is coming to Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 on November 14, 2017.

Outcast: Second Contact puts you in the shoes of Cutter Slade, an American Navy SEAL, who's alone on an unknown planet, without equipment, with no trace of his companions and without even the slightest idea on how to complete his mission. The game takes place on the gorgeous world of Adelpha. But it's not all great because, despite meeting friendly individuals, the world is filled with an oppressive regime and dangerous creatures.

While immersing himself in an alien civilization and culture, Cutter will have to negotiate with affluent merchants, rally rebel forces, fight the army of the tyrant Fae Rhan, and survive in hostile territory. Without giving too much away, the plot links back to Earth and it's up to you to save both worlds.
