We're halfway through another year, which means another FIFA is on the horizon. EA today announced that the next entry in the series, FIFA 18, will launch on September 29 for Xbox One and PS4. This year's entry will also see legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo grace the cover.

FIFA 17 saw the series make the move to the Frostbite Engine, which cranked things up visually. This year, EA says it's pushing forward even further, but details are a little scarce:

Last year was a momentous year for us on Xbox One with the move over to the Frostbite Engine in FIFA 17 allowing us to deliver a massive visual upgrade along with the new environments you experienced with Alex Hunter in The Journey. In year two, we're taking an even bigger stride forward and taking the visual fidelity up another few notches.

There's also no word on no features just yet, but EA promises we'll learn much more during its EA Play presentation at E3 2017 next week. As usual, there's a bevy of preorder options available with extras ranging from early access to Jumbo Premium Gold FUT Packs. For now, you can check out the game and get your preorder in on the Xbox Store.
