Red Dead Redemption 2 has been pushed back to a spring 2018 release, developer Rockstar has just announced. The sequel to the Xbox 360 and PS3 classic was originally pegged for a fall 2017 release, but Rockstar is now keeping it in the oven a bit longer to "deliver the best experience possible" for fans of the franchise.
Rocktar apologized for the delay, but added that those working on the game "are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready." And really, after such a long wait for the sequel, what's another six months or so to make sure it's in tip-top shape?
Rockstar promises that we'll hear much more about Red Dead Redemption 2 later this summer, likely at E3. To tide fans over, however, the developer released a new batch of screenshots that should dampen the delay's impact just a tad. Check them out in the gallery below.
