Minecraft is already on practically any platform you can think of, and now it's adding another to that list with the Nintendo Switch. Anyone who has their hands on Nintendo's latest will be able to officially grab Minecraft from the Nintendo eShop starting on May 11.

According to Mojang, Switch gamers will be able to take part in 8-person online multiplayer, or 4-person local multiplayer on the TV or in tabletop mode. As a little bonus, Minecraft on the Switch will also ship with the Super Mario Mash-Up pack, so you can dress up as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad and Bowser to your heart's content.
This isn't the first time Minecraft has appeared on a Nintendo console; it previously made its Wii U debut in late 2015. And it's not surprising to see the game add another platform to its list so quickly. Soon it may just be easier to name a platform that Minecraft isn't on — not that that's a bad thing.
