Destiny developer Bungie has announced that the game will finally add private matchmaking with its next expansion, Rise of Iron, on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Revealed during a Gamescom livestream, Bungie revealed that private matches will allow players to put together their own, private Crucible matches with players of their choosing.
During setup, players can set everything from the map and game type, to the time and score limits. Players can even set the time of day, as well as determine whether player Light level will impact the game.
In addition, Bungie introduced a new game mode for the Crucible, simply called Supremacy. Rather than a simple deathmatch, Supremacy tasks players with collecting a player's "Crest" after a kill to score points. For much more, be sure to check out the expansion ViDoc above, which also takes a look at "Wrath of the Machine," a new raid headed to the game. Rise of Iron itself will be released on September 20.
