This menu provides options to return to the gaming lobby, view the game's settings, view the pay tables for the slots, an option to contact the developer and view the gaming credits. You do have the option to connect Simon's Slots to your Facebook account, but this connection is not required. It will earn you a few bonus gifts and help you save your gaming progress.
Gameplay is the typical slot machine action. You set your bet (minimum 50 credits) and tap the spin button. You do have buttons to automatically bet the maximum (100,000 credits) and if you tap/hold the spin button, you will send the game into auto-play.
While the core gaming experience with Simon's Slots is playing the slots, the game does have three play modes to keep you busy. The slot payout rates started out strong and it wasn't long before I doubled my initial 5,000 credits. However, my luck didn't last long and the payouts began to feel very conservative. While I quickly struck it rich, I lost it all just as quickly and struggled to build my fortune back. To help keep you in gaming credits, Simon's Slots will award you free credits, but these awards are timed. Wait 15 minutes and you'll earn 100 credits, wait thirty minutes and you earn 200 credits and so on.
If you prefer to build up your gaming credits quicker, you can pick up credits through in-app purchase that range from $1.99 for 10,000 credits up to $99.99 for 1,000,000 credits.
And that may be the biggest rub I found in playing Simon's Slots. It is a tough game to have success with. Sure, slots is mostly a game of luck, but the coding or machine settings are tremendously reserved to give the house a tremendous advantage. Even though this is imaginary cash, it's nice to win every so often, but I could go a dozen or so spins without winning anything and more times than not, when I did when it was just to break even.
Overall, I liked Simon's Slots variety of slot machines and the three play modes offer you an interesting twist on casino gaming. Increase the odds of winning and I think it will have a lot more appeal. Casino games that solely feature slots may be more of a niche' title and the across the board appeal may not be great with Simon's Slots. However, if you like playing the one-armed bandits or are a fan of casino gaming, it isn't a bad option to consider. Just don't get your hopes up at winning the big jackpot.
