Telltale Games has posted the first gameplay trailer from Tales From The Borderlands, their upcoming five part episodic series that's based on Gearbox's first person shooter-RPG series. The first episode is due out before the end of 2014 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, among other platforms.
The game itself takes place after the story events of Borderlands 2. Here's a quick summary:
"You'll play as Rhys, a Hyperion 'suit' with dreams of being the next Handsome Jack, and Fiona, a Pandoran con artist looking to score her biggest ever swindle. Thrown together as unwilling partners in an adventure to recover cash they both think is theirs, their journey will take you on a wild ride through Gearbox's Borderlands universe where gangsters, bandit lords, and Vault Hunters are just some of the obstacles you'll encounter..."
Each episode will cost $4.99 each on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, and episodes 2-5 can be bought together for $14.99. The PC version will be released for $24.99 which lets users get access to all five episodes. Do you think the Borderlands series will translate well to an episodic adventure game setting?
