Revers9 is a new Windows Phone puzzle game that challenges you to arrange a set of numbers in order before time runs out.
There's really not much to Revers9 but the game will test your reflexes and speed at solving number puzzles. The game can get mildly frustrating as you race to get the numbers in order but in a good way. Available for low-memory Windows Phones and Windows 8 devices, Revers9 isn't a bad title to add to your Windows Phone gaming library.
Uncomplicated design
Revers9's main menu offers options to play the game, view the gaming tutorial (a must), remove the ad-support ($.99) and access the game's settings. Settings allow you to register with the gaming server, view the About screen and another option to remove the ad-support.
Registration is not required but allows you to create a player profile for the online leaderboard. If you choose not to create a gamer account, you'll appear on the leaderboard as "Guest".
Game play with Revers9 is a little difficult to describe. You are presented with a set of numbers from 1 to 9 that are scrambled up. It is your job to arrange the numbers in order.
To arrange the numbers, begin by tapping the nine and then tap the ninth position. Then repeat the process with the other numbers and their positions. The process does not always run in numerical order with some numbers will fall into place as you work towards completing the sequence.
Once you have the numbers in order, the numbers shuffle for you to solve the puzzle again. The goal is to complete as many rounds as possible in the allotted sixty seconds.
Overall Impression
Game play can be a little frantic trying to get all the numbers in the right spot before time expires. Revers9 may not have many bells and whistles but it can be a fun way to pass short bits of time with.
There isn't much to complain about with Revers9, mainly because there isn't much to Revers9. I would not mind seeing a variety on the puzzle layout (a 3x3 grid?) or maybe having to arrange the number in reverse order.
Still as is, the game is worth trying and is still a work in progress. The developer is looking for feedback and plans to update Revers9 regularly. If you have a suggestion you can contact the developer from the About screen in the game or head over to the Windows Phone Store and rate the game.
