Spin 2014 is physics-based puzzle game inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophy of YIN and YANG, that describes how apparently opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world. Yin 陰 or 阴 is the female/passive/negative principle in nature while the Yang 陽 or 阳 is the positive/active/male principle in nature.
Of course, you don't have to know the givens of the philosophy to play the game. Your objective is to restore the balance which is lost since YIN and YANG have been separated, and both cease to exist without another.
Spin offers a mixture of Tao-inspired theme with a pinch of puzzle elements and high-quality graphics. There's soothing music intended to calm your senses. It's almost like playing a game sitting in a Thai spa!
The game features a rotating layout to guide YIN or Yang to their objective. You can play as either and experience different themes. The game puts your dexterity and agility to test, and you'll need observational skills and extreme control as you face mind-bending levels as you go along.
Download the Spin 2014 game for Windows Phone 8 devices from the Windows Phone Store. It's cheap at 99 cents, but there's no trial available. It's a fine game though, and gets addictive soon like the typical progressive puzzle game. The unique philosophical theme makes it even more interesting. Give it a whirl, and let us know how you like it.
